This counts as a legit Chinese restaurant, and that’s why I like it. It is also probably the only place in Stockholm that has Peking Duck (not authentic but close enough). So let’s discuss the points
Food: I have heard people talking about how all the dishes taste the same, I agree to a certain point. Some of the dishes are similar in taste but still delicious. Especially with rice. Even if on the menu most of the dishes are spicy, you can ask for less spicy or no spice. Doesn’t take away from the flavor.
Service is fine, but sometimes the more temporary staff can be lost. Otherwise, nothing to complain.
atmosphere is above average, but can feel cramped when the restaurant is full and can be loud. Otherwise, the camera walls is definitely a highlight and something to look at and talk about.
cleanliness: clean and tidy enough. Nothing to complain other than the floors and corners can be dirty. At least the table and other surfaces are clean.
price: some dishes the price is high, like a large bowl of rice is not cheap. The drinks feels expensive too. To be honest, I don’t remember the exact prices, but every time I look at the receipt, I get shocked about the drinks and...
The price, quality, portion size, service and decor all play a part in this being a 5 star rating.
For an average of 180-200 sek per main dish you get generous portion sizes and whichever level of spice you want (for chili based dishes).
I have been here many times over the past 2 years and the quality is always good.
In order to be neutral with my review though… This time (August 2022), the food took about 25 mins to arrive and the portion of duck in my dish was slightly less than usual, but even still the experience was better than pretty much all other Chinese restaurants in the area and probably in Scandinavia in my opinion.
I recommend the sweet and sour fried pork and the crispy duck. The baked fish is also great. I usually also order the chili’s in black vinegar as a side dish.
Since the place is popular nowadays, reserve a table in advance. Also expect up to 25 minutes for your mains if the restaurant is full.
You’ll probably have a great experience if/ when...
Read moreThe dishes were not fresh at all, one of the dishes was completely bad/spoiled with sour taste and it got exchanged. But still my friend had stomachache and vomited after having the food at eat east. It used to be a good restaurant before, don’t know why the dishes quality went down so dramatically and price was incredibly high recently. It has been twice for us to see this situation. I will never go there again. There are plenty of better Chinese/Sichuan restaurants than here in Stockholm nowadays. I recommend NOT coming here. (Well if it wasn’t that other restaurants were on holiday, I wouldn’t choose here either. They are usually not friendly at serving and inquiry for some delivery, they just told you to come here and pick yourself). NOT Recommend at all seeing how quality has been dropped...
