Habibi bar — Restaurant in Stockholm

I brought a Morrocan to try the food, and he did not think the tagine we had was anything like Moroccan food. For my Swedish taste buds it wasn't bad tho. And since one tagine was enough for two medium-hungry people it was an affordable meal. The decor is quite nice N African inspired, but the music is boring mainstream pop. I would have liked to hear something to go with the theme.

We went on a Friday night around 8 and the place was more or less empty. Waiter almost seemed surprised to see us, and the service was a bit confused. We realised after 9 pm that the place is in fact not niched to serve food, but to sell laughing gas to visitors that come for a beer and a balloon and then quickly leave. I've been there a couple of times and it's always the same thing. Overly crowded place. The hype over the balloons is seriously not worth it. If you want a packed place with extremely loud music, pushers trying to sell you coke, and expensive nitrous oxide balloons, this is the place for you. The rest of you can pick and choose any other bar...

Excellent North African food! Really tasty and reasonable prices. For the food I would come back. Music choice is a bit different to what you would expect for a traditional cuisine place. And later in the evening it becomes a bar with louder music and people inhaling laughing gas to spice it up. That’s …. different to say...
