Las Brasas is a gem of a restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and an inviting ambiance that makes you feel right at home, the green theme is bold and I really like it. The tapas-style menu is perfect for sharing, and I highly recommend picking several dishes to get a full experience. I decided to try some items I wouldn't normally go for, like the cabbage, and it really paid off. The taste was unexpected, sweet, nutty and really flavourful.
For those who enjoy charcuteries, this place is a paradise. However, some items, like the patatas bravas, were a bit forgettable. On the other hand, the fried enoki mushrooms were a standout. The sauce that accompanies them is so delicious, I could drink it! The Piementos de Padrones really need to be topped with more salt before serving.

Read moreThis restaurant is very nicely decorated but we expected much better food and service! We waited over 30 minutes just for our drink order and another hour for the food. My husband had the tapas which came out randomly and not at all combined well. If the tapas were timed better with a better combination the wait would not have been so bad. But he got potatoes then 15 minutes later the bread followed by something else super random. It just didn’t flow. I ordered a steak but it didn’t come out until AFTER my husband had all his tapas. I sat there over an hour hungry and frustrated waiting for my dinner. No explanation was given and nobody checked on us. The restaurant was packed and everyone working there appeared stressed out. We will not return. There are far better restaurants in Stockholm to waste time...

There tapas are small but mighty. They made every ingredient pop with freshness and delightful flavor combinations. The steak melted in out mouths and the wine pairing was perfect.
They had some fusion elements but this still felt as authentic as some wonderful restos in Madrid.
And the service was energetic and welcoming. The ambiance? Cozy with fun lighting and wooden & velvet seating. It all worked.
I may come back— but even if I don’t this was a perfect meal for our first night...
