LYKKE NYTORGET — Restaurant in Stockholm

Just moved into the neighbourhood and headed to Lykke for breakfast. The place was pumping and had a great vibe the previous night as I was moving in to my new place, so I headed there first thing in the morning at 08:55 to soak up the vibe, send a few e-mails, and hopefully find my new favourite local coffee place.

I started out ordering the breakfast pack, but unfortunately they were out of eggs. Bummer. But hey it happens to the best of us. Ordered a breakfast sandwich and a coffee which both were very nice. Did however pick up a cold vibe from the staff. The vibe really didn't match the place which is bright and inspiring. But hey, it's early so who cares?

Sat down to enjoy my coffee and answer a couple of e-mails. Noticed a wifi named "Lykke-Office" and one named "Lykke-Guest". Perfect. I headed over to counter and asked politely if they have a wifi I can use. The answer I got was a blank "No". Nothing else. No explanation. No smile. Really nothing. Just a short, and very uninspiring no. The response caught me a bit off-guard to be honest. It might just have been a bad day, but small details like that really make a difference. I have full understanding if you have a no-wifi policy. And I can share internet from my phone to get online. No biggie. But I do however expect a warmer and more inspiring treatment. That's what gets me as a customer to come back. Hopefully it was just a bad day. I will give it another try and hope for a warmer...

Sweden 🇸🇪 Stockholm - Cafés cafe coffeeshop Lykke is a coffeeshop/cafe vibe that reminds me of the best parts of my college town coffeehouse experience. Great service, great OatMilk lattes, great coffee beans, delicious Flatbread & most importantly good vibes.

We ordered the rueben flatbread which exceeded our expectations and the pästo which was a great vegetarian option. We wrapped up our meal with a warm chocolate croissant and our delicious OatMilk lattes. Zero complaints or improvements.

The vibe - great playlist, we sat downstairs so I could wrap up some work on eastern time. Wifi was excellent from the lower level.

The service - they just get it. They are warm, welcoming, patient, and helpful.

Can't wait to go back to enjoy some of the more social activities here.

A five-star cafe...

Ordered the Scrambled plate with scrambled eggs on a toast, avokado. Extra Bacon & smoked salmon, black coffee and some banana bread.

Good coffee with included refill.

It took 1+ hour to get the food and cost me 300+ SEK

Its was cold and tasteless, store bought Salmon and bland eggs, 3 slices of cold bacon and unseasoned mixed leaf sallad on a cold toast.

Didnt eat the Banana bread but look tasty.

The venue was cold and noisy, extreme waiting times for lacklustre food.

Summary. Overprices and tasteless and could have done it better at home.

There are many many better places than...
