Stavros Taverna — Restaurant in Stockholm

Excellent staff. We've been there with a couple of complicated kids (one with allergies, the other one cranky and tired). They even suggested changes to the menu to accommodate the multi-allergic kid (who's used to having to eat meat and potatoes because she's allergic to everything else) and when they were just slightly late with the food for the cranky kid (as in, not late at all by our standards), they offered desserts on the house.

Another time when it was just adults, they kept the place open way after official opening hours and managed to do so without our feeling like we were pushing their schedule.

Food is nice as well. We've tested both to eat it tapas style and to go for the standard main courses and we have so far never been...

Food is amazing! We had lamb racks and moussaka. Both are well cooked. I was a bit worried that lamb might smell strong, but it turned out to be totally good. Potatoes on the side were also crispy and full of flavor.

Dessert was a bit of a disappointment though. Cheese cake was basically like espresso house level. Not impressed.

Spending is about 500kr person if you take one wine and 2 dishes per person. So it is a bit on the pricy side given what you get. Nevertheless I would say it is a four star restaurant experience....

We visited Stavros Taverna today and were really happy with our choice. We sat outside, really nice atmosphere and crowd, quiet, looking in the park. We got soutzoukakia, mpriam, kolokithokeftedes and Greek salad. The chef had his own twist in traditional Greek dishes and made them special. Everything tasted excellent and with fresh ingredients.
