Hirschenkeller — Restaurant in Stockholm

Racism. Today I stopped by Hirschenkeller for a quick drink as my phone was out of battery. I only had two beers while sitting quietly by myself. Later, the place got busier. When I asked for a third beer, the bartender refused to serve me — simply because I was a foreigner sitting alone. I was not drunk, I didn’t disturb anyone, and I was minding my own business. This was a clear act of discrimination. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Terrible and racist attitude.

If you wouldn’t want to be treated this way when visiting another country, you should stand up against places and people like this. Discrimination has no place anywhere.

Putting the Arch statue by Ai Weiwei in front of national museum means nothing if attitudes like this are still tolerated in everyday life.

A good location, with reasonable food and fairly priced drinks, which unfortunately was let down only by being told by a member of staff to keep the noise down as it was disturbing those customers who were eating. Which upon further inspection turned out to be no one at that moment but indeed two customers were in fact looking through a menu at that time and so maybe, that in some way constituted a form of eating in the mind of this over zealous young female member of staff as she sturnly reprimanded our large group of 40 something's for being overly jovial on December 9th, maybe someone should tell her that December is in fact the season to be jolly. Merry Xmas Hirschenkeller or should that be...

Went inside with my friend for an afterwork beer. We are both 30+ years old. We took the order, no problems... Until some drunk guy who appearently were aquaint with the bartender asked us for identification. He had civilian clothes and were intoxicated, so we just laughed and said no. Then he told the bartender that we need to show identification. The bartender then all of a sudden wanted to see our ID's.

Reluctantly we did showed them, also saying that this feel kind of unprofessional. Then the bartender snapped and told us that we cant be served.

We went to the place nextdoor and had a good time instead.
