Uppdatering, 7 år senare: Jämfört med när Bastard öppnade så är det mycket som är sig likt. De gamla trotjänarburgarna är kvar och estetiken på lokalen är densamma. Dessvärre än det inte mycket kvar av den ursprungliga kvaliteten. Köttet är märkbart sämre och torrare och det saknas den sista touchen och kärleken till burgare som var Bastards signum. Av dagens London att döma så är Bastard numera en kedja bland många andra, som de senaste åren satsat på kvantitet över kvalitet. Synd.

Ursprunglig recension, 2017: Without a doubt the best burgers in Uppsala. Only local products go in their burgers. The bread is made each day from a local baker and they grind the locally produced beef themselves each day. You're free to swap the fries for mozzarella sticks if you're like me and not a huge fan of sweet potato fries. I especially recommend their London burger, which to me is one of the best burgers...

Absolutely delicious. Cosy little place with a cool, alternative atmosphere. Great menu caters for everyone from connoisseur to vegan. Service is friendly and relaxed. Burgers made swiftly but not to the detriment of the flavour. Beef is cooked however you like, and is flavoursome and juicy beyond belief. Well built, great sauces, perfect kind and amount of cheese. Pickles really added another dimension, and the bun was smart. Chips are also delicious. Beer is expensive and selection is limited, but you don't come here for that. If you're wondering what the beyond burger is like, it satisfies a veggie desire for some savoury and fatty goodness. Good burgers and a reasonable price (159kr with fries and a soda) they crinkle cut fries or sweet potato or you can upgrade them with extra toppings. It seems popular with the locals too from about 1800 on Friday it was impossible to get a seat. You order at the counter and receive a buzzer. You then head up and collect your food. Tables are crammed in to maximise the seating and it feels very fast food, however the food is vastly superior to Mcdonalds or Burger King. Tasty burgers at a good price....
