I had one of the most heartwarming experiences with Keemchi recently. I had ordered food through Uber Eats, but after waiting for an hour and a half, the order was suddenly canceled. Feeling confused and disappointed, I called the restaurant directly.
The manager answered with such kindness and care. They explained that they had prepared my food right away, but sadly no Uber Eats driver ever came to pick it up. After a long wait, the system automatically canceled the order - through no fault of theirs. Despite this, they sincerely apologized and offered to make things right by inviting me to come by anytime during the week to pick up my meal, free of charge.
When my sister went the next day on behalf of me, we were truly overwhelmed. Not only had they prepared everything fresh for us, but they also added extra portions and a drink - all as a gesture of apology and goodwill. They even apologized again in person, even though none of it was their fault.
This level of kindness, honesty, and care is so rare these days. I don’t even have enough words to thank them. Keemchi has not only earned a loyal customer - they have genuinely touched my heart. I am forever grateful and will recommend them to everyone I know. Thank you, Keemchi and the restaurant manager, for showing such genuine humanity and warmth alongside your...
Read moreThe place is nice. Simple. Korean details such as cup & jug in stainless steel, the cutleries available in the drawer at the table.
Not very personal service as you order through a screen.
Korean lunch box: Very salty. An option to add rice would have been nice for this dish. The dish consisted of things that a korean would not normally put together as a lunch box. Based on the seasoning, I think their bibimbap and japchae may be pretty ok and not too far from authentic flavours.
Corndog: Recently released in Uppsala too. It was pretty authentic. The half & half corndog was 80% cheese and 20% sausage. What was not ok was the mustard used. It tasted like Johnny's senap, which is far from the type of mustard used in Korea, and it did not work at all. The price is also pretty high considering corndog is just a snack in Korea you can get for like 15 SEK. 49 SEK would have been a more reasonable...
Read moreI've eaten here many times, one of my go-to places when I'm in the mood for a bibimbap. The food and service is great although it can get quite crowded during lunch.
I usually grab take away with me but recently the takeaway portions seem to be smaller, recently I ordered Bibimbap to-go for dinner and the amount of food I saw when I got home was a huge disappointment. Small amount of rice and very little amount of veggies which for the amount of food I got, made it extremely overpriced for dinner.
I was glad I ordered extra kimchi although the small container was half-filled which didn't really feel like "extra" but more like necessary.
The food tasted good but I doubt I will order takeaway...
