Onsdagshaffla: A time when they have a dish for a great value each wednesday. The dish I had was Zabuton, fries and tomato salad. Zabuton was not really my thing, but the food was generally well made. It made me sure of wanting to visit again for a la carte. Sat at their outdoor seatings. Comfortable seats, but not amazing sorroundings.
Brunch: Brunch available at some occasions (look for it on their instagram or homepage). Brunch buffet including classic breakfast items, some pre made food and desserts. Coffee and juice included. The food was generally well made, but I don't know if I can say that it is worth the price. There are many other good things you can get for the same price.
Dinner: Also well made food. However, none that really exceeded the expectations. The wine pairing was okay, but of those I had, none enhanced the flavour of the dish or the wine.
Sju flaskor: A small cozy cocktailbar with chill atmosphere. Love the concept and the bartenders are superfriendly and feel professional. Would...
Read moreThis restaurant...where have you been my whole life?? We had the 5 course meal. The wine selection is the star of the night and they make the food based on the wine. As opposed to the traditional wine pairing. Hands down, the superstar of the night is their sweetbread meal. At first, I thought the popcorn was garnish, but man oh man, was my palate tickled soon as I made that first bite. Literal foodgasm I did not know was possible!! And I've been to Michelin-starred restaurants before. As my boyfriend said "it's going to be hard to top that for ....uhm...a very long time". The moose dish came second. It is still 10/10 on its own but if we had to compare it with the sweetbread, we have to let it bow down. Lastly, the buckthorn sorbet on top of the creme brulee matched with icewine is the perfect way to end the night. I cant recommend this place enough. I'm torn between being selfish and keeping this as my secret gem but I have to give this place the kudos it...
Read moreMy wife and I have been coming here for years. I'm surprised it took me this long to leave a review. In just a few words, this is our favorite restaurant in Uppsala and top 5 in all of Sweden. Not only just the food, but the wine pairings are some of the most unique, well thought out, and complementary aspects of the whole experience. Easily better than many Michelin restaurant wine pairings. This is the type of restaurant that Michelin star chefs come to when they go out to dinner. Incredibly delicious, brilliant presentations of local delicacies, constantly evolving seasonal menu, and repeat favorites make this place an easy choice for date night.
We love Dryck & Mat and are so happy Uppsala has a restaurant of this caliber that we can enjoy any time of the year. Thank you for the wonderful service, amazing meals, and for your double...
