This was posted in August 2022. I have not returned to this venue since and have no desire to.
Such a shame. We came here to have a drink in the outside seating area in the midday sun so sat under the massive parasols. My partner went in to purchase two drinks and was gone for about 5 minutes. A waitress came up to me and I politely told her that we were already getting our order inside. I was told I had to leave as dogs are not allowed. I said that my partner was getting drinks inside so she would have to go and stop him. At which point he came out with two beers. She would not refund us but still wanted us to leave. She then said we could stay and pointed to two seats out in the direct sun. Not with the dogs, no. She then huffed and pointed us to the furthest away point in the shade and said we had 15 minutes to drink and leave. We shall not be returning.
(Also bar man behind the counter was rude. My partner can leave a review about that one.)

Having been here once before on a busy night it surprised me that the barman was in an equally poor mood with a long queue at the bar despite it being a quiet period. Expensive drinks and a rude barman was not the greatest so I was already preparing to tell my partner we wouldn’t be coming here again.
Got back to my partner and our two dogs on the massive terrace to find he was being told to leave because dogs aren’t allowed. For context there was full sun 26 degrees and when we arrived there was no sign forbidding dogs and no staff around to ask.
What annoyed me most was the attitude. No kindness and just plain rude. We were directed to an area in full sun and given 15 minutes to drink. We are English speakers and only when I refused in Swedish were we directed to a shady area, but still given just 15 mins. We’d had a lovely afternoon shopping, having just relocated from west Sweden and this was not a great introduction to Uppsala.
Ironically I recall the days when this was still the station house many years ago. Now they think it is a trendy place to be seen and that a bad attitude should be a part of their service provision. It’s basically a fancy pub at a train station....
Read moreThe restaurant has a nice atmosphere but unfortunately terrible (or rather non-existing) service! We had lunch today at Stationen after it got recommended to us. However, we soon got very disappointed. The service ended pretty much as soon as we got seated. Food and drinks had to be ordered and picked up by us at the bar. This included walking back and forth several times until we had all the plates for our group out (as you usually don’t manage to carry more than two plates and no trays or other help was offered). Brunch was available but only indoors and therefore not an option for everyone who wanted to enjoy the first warm and sunny day of the year on the terrace. The staff was wearing shirts stating “Don’t order here. I am just a runner” to prevent guests from accidentally talking to the staff. Generally speaking the staff was rather rude and unfriendly. The food was ok but nothing special and nothing I would recommend. The only positive part of the visit was that we could enjoy the sun on the terrace while listening to some French music. Over all, we felt not welcome at all and missed any kind of service. Tyvärr, we will not...
