This place is nice and it's an excellent place to grab some drinks (beer/wine, limited bar) with friends.

However, the food is extremely overpriced and not recommended at all! 1 roasted carrot - 14.50chf, half a roasted beet - 15.50, a single arancini that would make any Roman cry - 15.50, a bite-sized piece of flavorless trout - 17.50, and it goes on and on like that... There is absolutely nothing special about any of their dishes - I tried them all. It's not that they're bad, they're just so overpriced for what you get, it kills the experience. The menu for 2 will cost from 160-180 just for food - you can actually eat from the Michelin guide in Bern for less...

Overall, I'm sorry about this review. But, I really enjoy trying new restaurants and too often come across reviews that are overly polite and misleading. This place is good for drinks/atmosphere, but don't waste your money...

We had take away lunch there, they have weekly lunch menu to take away. Package was really good, we had the main course with salad and soup. It was vegetarian, you can see their weekly menu on their Instagram, we had the meal from the Friday 16.04.

The food was overall very good, tasty, good mix of texture.

Staff was not totally on point to describe the menu. We asked what soup was that, she replied “vegetable soup”, which vegetable would be more useful.

Ich und meine arbeitskollegin haben heute hier bei unserem gemeinsamen Abendessen einen Tisch ergattern können, obwohl es schon sehr voll war und wir nicht reserviert haben. Das war nur dank der Zuvorkommemheit des Servicepersonals. Obwohl wir beide ein bisschen nervös waren, da wir noch nie an einem Wochenende zu zweit Znacht gegessen haben, hat uns das Ambiente und die Kellner*innen sofort entspannen lassen. Sehr einladende Begrüssung und einen Drink an der Bar, bis unser Tisch bereit war. Dann das Essen! Dieses Lokal verfügt über eine offene Küche, und von unserem Tisch aus konnten wir quasi in echt dem Küchenchef zuschauen, wie er Messer und Pürierstab scheinbar durch unsichtbare Hand durch die Luft gleiten liess. Diese Messer und Pürierstäbe brauchte er natürlich für die verscheidenen, handverlesenen europäischen, nach 'Mezzeart' inspirierten, Gerichte, wobei man aus unterschiedlichen kleinen Portionen sich selbst ein Menü zusammenstellen konnte.
