The staff is friendly and takes time for its customers. The location offers a book corner to expand your intellect while eating or just enjoying a drink. I definitely recommend this place and will pass by soon again.

Visited after a day of hiking in the Bernese Oberland, and the place didn't disappoint! The food was delicious and the portion sizes were generous: warm and soft freshly made Pita bread and the house-made hummus was truly the highlight. Highly recommended for vegetarians and vegans!

✨ Ein kleiner orientalischer Kurzurlaub mitten in Bärn! Die Pitaria ist einer meiner Lieblingsorte in Bern. Sobald man das Lokal betritt, hat man das Gefühl, nicht mehr in der Deutschschweiz zu sein – für einen Moment ist man irgendwo im Orient. Das Essen ist wirklich lecker, frisch und gesund, einfach rundum stimmig. Die Person, die das Restaurant führt, ist sehr freundlich und herzlich, was den Besuch noch angenehmer macht. Besonders schön ist auch die Terrasse – ideal an warmen Tagen. Zur Mittagszeit kann es recht voll werden, besonders um 12 Uhr. Aber wenn man etwas später kommt, etwa gegen 13:30 oder 14:00 Uhr, findet man eigentlich immer einen Platz. Insgesamt ein Ort, den ich sehr gerne weiterempfehle – für gutes Essen und eine kleine Auszeit vom Alltag.

Nice place. The portions were very big. If you are not very hungry you can take one for two. The prices were reasonable. The staff was kind. The only thing is that you should check their website to see when the kitchen works, because there are breaks in the middle of the day. Although that's a common thing in Switzerland. Also be prepared for the fact that there can be a lot of...

The atmosphere was cozy and had a really good feel. I ordered the hummus pita which was so fresh and a really generous serving. My friend had a pita with lamb in it which she said was really tender and delicious.
