Great view, great food, great service, appealing decor, reasonable prices, easily accessible from the university and train station. I would take friends visiting Berne for the first time here without hesitation. I think the restaurant may have been less attractive previously - don’t put too much stock in older reviews. I absolutely love this place. Besides its very central location by the train station, there is a terrace overlooking the city and the mountains which makes for a great place to enjoy an after-work drink in the Summer.
