The so-called ‘modern brasserie’ next to the Kunstmuseum offers for Bern a variety of classic dishes of season flavours that are re-interpreted with a twist of ‘new cuisine’ and well balanced. There is no intention here to over-rework everygreens, but the slight re-engineering gives an amateur of French cuisine a smile in the mind. Re-interpreted classics of the house are ‘the flank steak’ or the ‘coq au vin blanc’. Great wine selection with some fine goodies made available from the ‘patron’s’ private wine cellar. Loungy and chill environment, a few steps from the main station and the city center, this restaurant has a resourcing and reviving effect, being a lost & hidden jewel in the middle of Bern. Perfect! Location was great as it’s only a few minute walk from old town and train station but being tucked away it’s also quiet and offers an easy get away from the noisier parts of town.
