Soriya — Restaurant in Bern

The worst service ever. I will never come back to this restaurant.

Today 11/3/2023 , at 17:45, I and my friend went to this restaurant and order. I made 4 orders for our diners and asked for 2 small dishes to share the salad. The owner of restaurant refused us because she said that: “WE HAVE TO CLEAN MORE DISHES” so she denied to give us

I could not understand what was going on. I told her that i could not know why she did that. Just Please check my orders. I orders 4 big dishes not 1 , why can not share? She told me : please follow European style?? It is the worst explaination. I paid for the diner and went out. I went to other restaurant.

Entre: 1 Som Tam papaya salad 15,50 chf 1 tod man ( fried fish) 8,50 chf

Main dishes: 2 big tom yum x 18,50 chf = 37 chf

2 x 5dl water : 4chf

This was the worst thai food I have ever tried, and I traveled throughout the world, in Asia, USA, Europe but this is the one. Even though I told the waitress / cook that I want my Som Tam spicy and the main dish as well, it came without a single chili pepper, the taste was just sour, not balanced at all so I sent the dish back and said please add chili in it. Then she brought it back, and the taste was still bad. To the main course, the red chicken curry had no taste at all, i thought of leaving it as it is and leave, but that would be too unfriedly, so I still ate it but without enjoying it. The price for the bad taste of the food is too high, I would not recommend this place at all. I thought Som Tam was pretty much served in every thai restaurant, so it should not be a big deal to make it right, but...

Very bad experience from the staff. I was traveling with family and a five year old child . My first day in Bern and it was heavily snowing. We decided to take lunch from Soriya as they serve Asian food. The attitude of the staff was very hostile . The incident really triggered me when we asked for a glass to drink water which we bought from outside . The response was “we can’t give glass as you have bought water from outside the shop”. Even we told that we have bought water in flask for child who needs something hot. On the face she said no. We never faced such a behavior from anywhere in Swiss. Also the food seems not...
