Anker — Restaurant in Bern

We recently planned to dine at the restaurant, but after my bad experience with the service, we decided to leave the restaurant. I politely asked about the size of a portion I wanted to order, but the waitress rudely refused to help me. She told me to look at the pictures in the menu, even though they couldn't really help me understand the size of the portion. I kindly asked her to show me with her hands how big a portion was, but she became even more rude and suggested that I take a walk in the restaurant and look at other guests' tables. After I did not accept her suggestion to walk around, she complained about my question loudly (which is „impossible“ to answer) and left our table without saying anything else. I found the way the server treated me very unprofessional and disrespectful. I then decided to leave the restaurant without ordering or eating anything. It was disappointing that I didn't even have the chance to try the food, but the poor service prevented me...

I ate in this restaurant with Friends tonight, I was expected to eat typical Swiss food and be well received by the waitress but neither food or waitress was good. The "fondu" was disgusting and rusties was just match potatoes with one egg and bacon with cheese. I can do the the same in my house with only one hand. It was disgusting I didn't like it at all and of course I leave the restaurant as starving than when I came. Same for m'y Friends who didn't fisnished the fondue. The waitress that coudn't understand english made 3 mistakes on our orders and Never apologize for that. She showed that she was pissed and annoyed by us. The food was son expensive 30 CHF for this disgusting fondue and 28 CHF for rusties (smatch potatoes). The waitress yell at us because of her mistakes. Food is not too bad (Roesti was good but greasy), but that's about all that's good about this place... Service is worst than in prison... Incapable and rude staff, ripping away the daily menu from us (on a printed paper) and violently making it into a ball, rudely telling us it's not in the menu anymore... Then when the dishes arrived, the server spilled a dish on one of us without saying sorry (the sausage fell on the floor and I sadly suspect the same sausage was served back to me after being warmed again). And to top it all, when taking away the dishes after we had eaten, that same server spilled an empty plate on another member of our party.... So if you're looking for a reasonably priced and ok food to eat and don't care to be treated like you're worthless, then this is the place to go, otherwise please make your way to...
