I came on a Friday and the restaurant was fully booked. Great ambience! There are two storeys, first is a bar and second is the restaurant. The lady staff was very nice to let us sit at level one to dine in, however they don’t do that usually so this is an exception.
The bartender at level one was also very kind to talk to us, share some travel tips, recommendations and told us to make reservation in future as such restaurants in Bern are very popular and it’s difficult to get a seat without prior reservation! He was very busy, and seems to be the only one on the floor serving, bringing customers in and collecting payment!
The food we ordered were delicious! I love the risotto, it was flavourful. The aglio olio was a tad too dry for me so I drizzled a lot...

One of the most beautiful places where to have a dinner in the old town from Bern, but where is NOT possible have even a regular tasty food. I have heared that before the “famous” group Bindella take over the restaurant it was a good one, also regarding to the food. Is considered the best italian restaurant in town, but they are one of the few italian in town who doesn't make their own pasta! In resume: is just one ordinary chain restaurant that looks amazing (the place it is, in fact), but where you will enjoy the food only if you are an etepete person who cares more about pretend something than to enjoy...
Read moreSooooooooo disapointed - used to love this place and know it since the 80ties - many tables too close to each other - waiter suggested salad - got it with bacon (no meat eater here) got it back, they took the bacon out (by hand I guess) still some bacon left... salad sauce was too acid - after that I was so looking forward to the pesto genovese - OMG got spaghetti with a cream sauce with some dried basilicum in it - did ask the waitress about it as pesto is MAINLY made of basilicum and has NO cream in it - answer: that's the way it's done here since 30 years...
