A Hidden Gem.

While exploring new dining options in Lugano, I stumbled upon "JO Fishbar" and decided to give it a try. We had an extraordinary evening; everything was flawless and delicious. The bread had a subtle hint of truffle, and all of our fish dishes were exceptional. Paired with a delightful Lugana wine, our evening became truly memorable.

The owner is incredibly friendly and genuinely attentive to our well-being. Although my initial impression was slightly negative due to the long wait for the menus, everything thereafter was impeccable.

I highly recommend this place...

Top notch service of food cooked from the heart. We arrived slightly early for dinner service, but they were all happy to receive us and prepare dinner for us.

For mains, we had the grilled octopus and tuna steak. Tuna steak was served perfectly medium rare as requested, while grilled octopus was the most tender and juicy one we have ever had. We had just come from a lovely Michelin star meal nearby, but the food and hospitality here made us fuller and happier.

We enjoyed a great lunch here.

The service was great. Our waiter was very helpful and spoke good Englsh. He advised on what to have and which wines for us to taste and select.

The truffle bread was delicious. I had linguini a la mare, which was excellent.

Afterwards, we shared a tiramisu, which was good, but I've had better.

No complaints and everything...
