After my recent trip to Japan, I fell in love with Ramen soups and decided that when I returned to Switzerland I would try every possible variant available here. So I went to this horrible restaurant. At the beginning I thought everything was decent, except for the staff, who couldn't give me a seat for 15 minutes when the room was half-empty. I finally sat down and ordered soup and beer, the beer was brought right away, by the way it's my favorite Japanese Sapporo beer. The beer was great, thanks for that! Next, they brought me my ramen, and to be honest, I've never tasted such a horrible dish called ramen in my life. The yolk of the egg was cooked, not liquid. The nori leaves were like mush, soaked before the soup arrived. The pork tasted like sole, it just wouldn't chew, I couldn't even finish it! The noodles, it was like spaghetti. And at the very end, I discovered that there were lumps of undissolved miso paste or something in the broth at the bottom. After a few hours after this meal, I didn't feel very good, probably it was from the amount of synthetic ingredients.
Putting all these facts together, I can confidently rate this place a 5 stars for location, curtains and beer. Everything else is a bold 1. Don't waste your time and take care of your health...
Read moreExcellent food, beautiful place, but poor service and highly questionable company policies. Even in the case of intolerances, ingredients cannot be substituted. If a protein is removed, it is not replaced with another but instead incurs extra charges for each ingredient. Very rigid customer approach on multiple levels. Military ramen! One week later: After a bad experience at Noizu Ramen in Lugano, I reached out to them via email, hoping for some form of acknowledgment or apology. Instead, they responded quickly but without a hint of regret or concern for the fact that they failed to accommodate my request to change the protein, which I couldn’t eat.
When I replied to their email to express my disappointment, they simply ignored me. This confirmed their rigid, unempathetic, and customer-unfriendly attitude. It’s clear that they don’t care about their customers because they know they’ll make money regardless. Arrogant staff, poor service, and a complete lack of respect for the people who dine there.
I would strongly advise against visiting this place. There are far better ramen spots where customers are...
Read moreI found some of the comments below a bit too harsh. Does the ramen have the authentic ramen flavor? Unfortunately, no, the taste is quite far from what you’d expect. However, it’s a very interesting reinterpretation, it’s tasty! The pork is fantastic, very well-prepared.
The downside is that the broth seems to be made from miso paste and wasn’t properly prepared or boiled. I noticed clumps of the paste at the bottom of the bowl while eating. It tasted good, but this is a serious execution flaw. Another issue is charging separately for an ingredient that is part of a traditional ramen – the egg. Charging for extra egg is fine, but charging for an ingredient that belongs to the dish is something I had never encountered before.
Overall, it’s a good restaurant with a nice atmosphere, friendly table service and decent ramen. I’ll...
