Sass Café — Restaurant in Circolo di Lugano ovest

I wished I could give a good review. We arrived and asked if we could still eat with two. No problem!

We saw two other tables being served and another table watching the menu card.

The table was cleaned and dressed, we received the menu card. After 15 minutes the waiter came, to take our order we thought.

"The kitchen is closed" and we were made clear it was not possible to order anymore. When slightly protesting by being led to a table and handed the menu, the only explanation was a shrug and a "I can't help it". While tables around us still were eating.

Very strange, considering this would be a more higher standing place. We received very good service and food at the competition...

One of the fun things about Lugano, is the many restaurants you can choose from, and we think we found one that stands out from the rest, and that is Sass Cafe Granted there is enough Italian restaurants in Lugano to choke a horse, and Sass Café is not necessarily Italian, it is more international and diverse, but the ravioli dishes they offer as well as the rest of their menu card is really something to enjoy. I have visited Sass Cafe many times in this month and I can truly say it's a great place to visit and have a really tasty nosh-up or as well an aperitif followed with a snack. The entire staff is really attentive and provide the best service and commodity making you feel welcome, as well they provide options in any case you might have trouble deciding.
