This restaurant is quite new, having opened a month ago. It is in my neighborhood, so I walked by several times. It was always full. What convinced me to try it was the Kebbe au four. The mother of one of my good friends makes this dish - we love it - so we decided to try the restaurant together.
When we entered, we didn’t expect it to be a family restaurant. One of the owners - the son who manages the front of the house - pointed to a photo of a beautiful seaside town, saying that this is where they come from, as does the cuisine and the wine. We decided to indulge, and ordered many dishes to share.
Each dish we were served was exceptional and surprising. Not because it was trying to be innovative, but because they were real recipes that the amazing chef cooks at home. The Hummus and the Fatouche tasted like it would in Lebanon - something exceptionally hard to replicate in Geneva. The Fatteh d’aubergine was absolutely delicious, and new to me. The mother who does all the cooking and serves each dish told us a story about the fatteh, and how she learned to make it.
This is the kind of restaurant I want to support, the kind I will now think about as a reference for the most authentic expression of a cuisine. Not just because of the food, but because you could feel that the owners have a genuine desire to share their culture and cuisine. Many restaurants feel transactional, while this felt like you were in someone’s home.
I highly recommend this restaurant - don’t hesitate to try it. This lovely restaurant deserves much success and...

Read moreReal authentic and home like made Lebanese cuisine ... and very cosy. Very Delicious and very tasty food. The portions are unusually very generous. The price is very, very resonable. The atmosphere is very nice and friendly. We tried it today for the first time but we will be back there again and again. Of course we tried a significant number of other Lebanese restaurants in Geneva and the Léman area, but for us and to our taste "Au Four Libanais" comes on top, especially in terms of autenticity. A retaurant highly...
