RUDE STAFF & TERRIBLE SERVICE - DO NOT GO HERE!

I live in the neighbourhood & pass by every day. I stopped going years ago as the staff & service were appalling! I was passing by recently & decided to have a drink since it has new owners. Well it’s safe to say that the service is still appalling & the staff as rude as ever!

I sat on the terrace beside the door in full view of the bar, Eva the waitress saw me but made no move to come serve me. 4 customers inside & 4 on the terrace & Eva came & closed the door right beside my table, but continued to ignore me.

After 10 mins I went inside & ordered a drink from her. When she delivered it to my table she rudely said to me, “when I’m doing my set up I can’t serve the terrace, so that’s why I was waiting for you to come inside to order”. I replied that she should have made a sign instead of ignoring a customer! To which she rolled her eyes & walked away! Two other customers sat on the terrace & after 15 mins of nobody coming to serve them, they left!

Eaux Vives is full of lovely bars, cafes & restaurants with lovely staff & terraces, so no need to frequent an establishment that treats customers so appalling! Basic manners & basic customer service is the very least to expect, unfortunately both are very much...

I saw in the menu outside that this restaurant offers spaghetti with sea food which I like so I entered. Before ordering i noticed that some clients paid by cash so i asked the waitress if they accept cards because i have no cash and she confirmed that i can pay by cash. I ordered the pasta which was the worst i had in my lufe, I couldn't even finish half of the plate and asked for the rest to take away with the intention to give it to some homeless people in my way. Now it came to payment and the waitress said that the mashine does not work anymore!!! I was so annoyed and told her that she confirmed payment by card wad possible!! She said it stopped working just now!!!! I had to pay with some cash I had which does not even belong to me.. And the waitress with another man who looks like the owner were angry at me as if it was my mistake!! No apology nothing. Bad food, bad...

Avoid this place at all costs!! The good reviews are probably from the owners!

1. the food (most important factor in a place) is plastic!!! Im not joking, they use frozen veggies and food because one of the plates (named dorade avec pommes de terre et haricots verre) had still frozen green beans. The second plate (pasta with white sauce) was tasteless and finally the pizza wAs very average priced at 18$ margarita pizza!! Insane!
2. no AC in the restaurant
3. we ordered tap water, and he brought three 50cl bottles that he told us later, priced at 4,50/ bottle -- water was 13,50 for three bottle!!

I understand thAt the prices are bit higher than most of EU countries, but some restaurants are not worth your money because the food is not good...
