Lunch stop on Easter Monday 🐣 Glad this was open amidst many other closed stores ☺️ They have really good Italian food!! We got lasagna (beef) and fettuccine al salmone (tomato & cream sauce, smoked salmon).
The lasagna turned out to be wood fired and was served fresh from the oven bubbling hot! It was really tasty — rich bolognese sauce on top of creamy cheese with lots of pull 😍 The top layer of cheese was slightly burnt which added a nice aroma. Every bite was bursting with flavour 🫶
Fettuccine was also great. Good degree of al dente and quite delicious with the pink sauce (tomato & cream) 👍 The smoked salmon were scattered in shreds and pieces within the pasta. I wouldn’t call it a lot but it’s sufficient. The savouriness helps balance out the sauce which may get a little heavy/jelat after working your way through the plate.
Portions are great! It will be good to share so you get varied flavours to keep things tasty throughout 😋 Servers seem very friendly and they chitchat with patrons (not us tho cuz language barrier 😅 issok idm). Overall nice place for good food and local,...
Read moreIf you want to feel a homey, safe, local and joyful atmosphere, this place definitely manages to deliver. While we came at probably peak lunch hour on a holiday/Sunday and at a considerably busy time, the staff were all friendly, smiling and welcoming. The waiting time before we got the menus was a bit long, and there we had kind of expected some water or bread while waiting for the food (or at least some water with the wine), but maybe it works differently here 🤷🏻♀️ The waiter kindly advised us that we might have ordered too much food for us to finish, so we decided on one less dish which was perfect. The food was good, the service and atmosphere was good, can’t really complain :)) It was a bit noisy for our liking, but it did give the local feeling. Generally recommended if you want a down to earth local experience with good food and...

I have lived in Rome for 4 years and in Geneva frequent frarelli calibresi, Gondola, Luigi etc. This was my third visit to Chez Marino and never again.
On this occasion the food quality was poor. I ordered penne sciliano it was tasteless, my friend ordered squids and she too said it was not tasty.
We were charged chf 50 for an ordinary bottle of proseco which was a rip-off.
Last but not the least it was so noisy we could have had a more pleasant evening sitting at gare cornavain Station.
A gent who walked in and occupied the adjoining table left in disgust without ordering. The waiter was more keen to clear the other tables than take the order from this gent.
I will not...
