I feel like I have to leave a review here after reading a lot of very postive and also many negative comments about this place before coming here. I went to this place as a solo traveller on a Sunday evening in summer, the restaurant was almost empty, only two other tables were occupied, each with two persons. I had the fondue moitié moitié with potatoes and a still water, which in the end cost 35CHF which I believe is not overly pricey for this area. Food was good, and service also nice. I understand however the concerns that some people shared in their one star reviews, in fact I noticed that at the other table two people wanted to order just one "shared" salad, which the owner for some reason did not allow and talked them into ordering two salads instead. I understand that for the fondue they would not allow sharing, but for the salad this is really a bit greedy. I also have to admit that I believe the Fondue portion that the 2 person tables got was roughly the same amount that I got for half the price, definitely not twice the amount of cheese. That's the reason for my 4 star rating, otherwise I cannot complain about anything, it was a nice restaurant visit, but be aware that if you are coming with multiple people you will not be able to share one dish among multiple persons. If you want to get the best bang for the buck, just go there as a solo traveller and treat your self to some...

Please do not go there if you want a family nice dinner. We had the intention of having a nice 1st of the season family fondue, as every year in this nice traditional restaurant. I was there with my young daughter and had to listen ‘les habitués’ until we had to leave. 4 men completely drunk and loud. Couldn’t finish my dinner, of course, I was not having all this with my daughter or even as an adult. The excuse was, sorry , cr sont les habitués’… so if they are ready to stand this themselves, I asked them to warn their clients, mainly if there is a present child, they are supposed to stand for them (clients) all. With or without children, so loud we couldn’t have a proper conversation. I will not say what they were talking about… just mentioned some countries for their travel. If they wanted to do this or that hahahaaa. So horribly oughful. I’m sorry to speak like this about to one of the few and rare original bistro left on town. So please, send your habitués back home before is to...

Friend and I wanted to try some chocolate fondue on a short trip to Geneva, had found another place for cheese fondue first and this place appeared to have chocolate so we went afterwards excited for some chocolate. The man who greeted us initially seemed annoyed we didn't have a reservation even though the place was half empty, once we were seated was decent explaining the cheese options but as soon as we said we were interested in chocolate fondue he immediately shut down, just kept repeating "no" over and over, grabbed the bread he had placed on the table and basically told us to get out. I tried to ask if there wasn't any or if it was just because it wouldn't be worth the table and he just kept repeating "no" more and more rudely. When I said I planned to order more than chocolate he still said no, so I guess there's your answer, if you aren't going to shell out at least 60CHF you aren't...

This place was recommended by a concierge clerk at my hotel, I have to say this is the best choice I made so far in my Geneva solo trip. The cheese fondue is creamy and aromatic, just like what I imagined an authentic Swiss fondue would be like. The store owner lady was also very kind offering me help with the menu and teaching me how to eat the fondue. Overall a memorable experience for my solo-travel journey🇨🇭🧀 Merci Beaucoup! :)

Was looking for a chocolate fondue for our last night in Switzerland. Very glad we came here. Had sausage and rosti to start with which was tasty and then the chocolate fondue to share which was great. Most of all though the waiter was working by himself and the restaurant filled up quickly. I think he needs to be commended on how hard he worked to make sure his guests were seen to and served as quick as possible. Amazing job!
