Inglewood Eaux-Vives — Restaurant in Geneva

The burgers are good. I like that they continue to put out a new "burger of the month", but there is one serious shortcoming: the fries.

I have eaten here several times, and every single time, without fail, the fries have come out cold. The last time I came here, we explicitly requested that they serve us hot fries and we were told "well, it depends on the capacity of the kitchen, you'll have to wait and see..." When the food came, the fries were... cold. We sent them back and their workaround was to put a few hot fries on top of the cold fries.

I really don't know what to say. Cold fries ruin the burger-and-fries experience. It's like they are doing it on purpose, and the attitude of the staff in response to criticism on this point is poor. I'll leave the door open, as my wife likes the burgers, but I'm happy to eat somewhere else until they...

I heard lots of great things about this place and was not disappointed. Staff were friendly and efficient, atmosphere was great and the food was delicious. The burgers are not the American style looser patties in a brioche (for that go to black tap in Rive, very tasty burgers, and soon 5 guys at cornavin will be open, which I’m very excited about) rather, these burgers are robust and hearty served in a tasty poppy seed bun. Expect to pay around 20chf for a burger with fries and a salad. For hot sauce fans they have a delicious habanero sauce...

I’ll always remember this place for one thing: how unkind the staff were. Years ago, my husband, our baby, and I went to the Eaux-Vives branch. It was crowded, so they put my name on the waiting list. While we waited, my baby got hungry, so I told the woman at the bar I’d go to the car for 15 minutes to breastfeed.
