Funky Monkey Room — Restaurant in Geneva

Very rude people! We were group of 5. We entered the place which there’s only one table occupied, we asked if we can sit inside he refused because we should have a reservation (and this is not the problem), he asked us to sit in the nearest table from the street window which has couches. After we said we want to eat, they told us to move outside!!!!

It was OK until we sat outside and asked if we can re-set to an other table (which is near to some sort of street working and has a nasty smell there!) Regardless he asked us to move 3 times.. the service is really slow, rude (speaking with tone) and there was no toilet papers!!! I asked for a roll. It took them more than 10 minutes waiting them to bring the toilet paper roll (which was wasting of time and consuming my patience to enter the toilet)!!!

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. Food was delicious and plenty of choices of different burgers which all sounded delicious. I read comments about over the top pricing but compared to other restaurants in Geneva thought the prices were very fair. All food places here are expensive compared to the likes of the UK.

Kamal was our server who was very polite, talkative and made us feel very welcome. It’s nice to go somewhere and feel like your waiter/waitress is making an extra effort to ensure you are enjoying your food and experience. If this restaurant were local then I’d definitely be returning. As I’m unlikely to return to Geneva it’s sad that I won’t experience this restaurant again but highly recommend anyone visiting Geneva to visit funky...
