While looking for our hotel, my boyfriend and I passed by Parfums de Beyrouth at around 7 pm on a Wednesday evening. The tables inside and outside were packed, and there was a line inside for takeout. That's usually a good sign. A quick Yelp search confirmed this so we decided to come here for dinner after we dropped off our stuff at the hotel (conveniently located a block away at ibis)
At 9 pm, it was still pretty busy. We were able to nab one of the last tables outside, and decided what to order fairly quickly. I went with the mixed platter, which came with a little bit of everything - lamb adana (or gyro?), salad, pita, and hummus. And that's not everything - that's just all I can remember. It was a nice variety. I ate everything. Plus at 17 CHF for all of that food, it was a great value for Switzerland.
If you ever find yourself in Geneva looking for a place to eat, this is it. Also open late (until 2...
Read moreI went there with my family last Sunday. We ordered many different dishes. They were all delicious and the portions satisfying. The tea was tasteful. The place reminded me of authentic, old fashion simple restaurants in Athens where the restaurant atmosphere is modest but the cuisine authentic and cooked with fresh ingredients. The waiters were very busy but efficient, the place was "moving" a lot with customers queuing also for take away. I will agree with other reviewers that the restaurant is value for money for Swiss standards although if you start ordering many small side dishes the bill can go up very quickly. The 4 of us, two adults and two small children paid a total of abt. 100chf but we ordered more than enough and left very very full. On the menu there were also sandwiches/pita rolls which were more modestly priced for a quicker bite. Overall I will definitely visit this restaurant...
Read moreLooks like my review was taken down so iâm doing it again. I went to parfums de beyrouth on June 5 at 9pm. When it was my turn to pay, the cashier bluntly says âyouâll pay when you get your orderâ. I ask where would you like me to wait? And he says word for word âinside, outside, wherever you want live your lifeâ. Itâs the second time this same guy disrespects me while iâm paying. Why would I complain if Iâm never coming back? Not only was i disrespected yesterday, it happened on my first time (about a month ago) as well when i said my table number in french instead of arabic and was asked âcanât you say it in arabic?â in a very sarcastic way by that same guy. i also waited 40min for my dish as the waiter forgot to serve it to me that time. I would be stupid if I ever come back or if I ever recommend Parfums de...
