Les Brasseurs is a franchise operating in multiple cities, and the one in Geneva is conveniently located near a major ground transportation hub. As a result, parking in the area is somewhat challenging, so I recommend using the bus or tram. I do not know if every Les Brasseurs brews it’s own beer, but this one does. In fact, since the late 1990’s this is oldest of the Les Brasseurs locations. It occupies the ground floor of a 6-story stone building. Their yellow and green B logos populate the side of the building and their is a large sign of their name above the entrance. Outside are some plants, rails and wooden barrels, around a patio area with a few tables. Inside on the right is their large 22-stool wooden bar. Overhead are shelves of glassware and a chalkboard lists their house brews. They usually have 5 house beers on tap, which are available in glassware of various sizes, as well as a sampler palette, or growler to go. They have 3 flagship beers (Blond, White, and Amber), of which White was my personal favorite. I also enjoyed their seasonal release Biere de Noel, and overall the quality of the beer is decent. The brewing equipment is located on the left opposite the bar. In the center are 2 tall copper brewing vessels, and they have 3 more copper tanks along the side wall. Their food menu consists of pub appetizers, salads, tartars, flatbreads, burgers, sandwiches, and a few entrees. The staff is welcoming and proficient, creating a pleasant experience. Les Brasseurs is a trustworthy brewpub for a nice beverage and meal in a...
Read moreTerrible customer service. We came there one evening with a friend and found a table. The waitress Ilone came in few minutes and from the first second started rather aggressively asking if we want to eat. We said maybe and that a menu would help us to decide. Ignoring our request, she continued pushing if we want to eat or "just snack". I said rather clearly that i would like a tartar and my friend was a bit stuck due to this situation. she again ignored it and started saying that she knows those people who are staying there with just a snack for two hours and if we are of this sort she has to move us. My friend is a really soft soul, so she said she was ok to move, the woman ran away saying that we follow her and we had to rush to finally find her at a tiny table somewhere in the area "for those just snacking". No reactions for our comments, no sorry, no nothing. I have to say that we are two friends in our 30s-40s who came after our working hours, so not sure why she was so suspicious about our intentions to eat (and even if we were not we, of course, do not have to justify our presence there from minute 1). We ended up having some food that was very average and with no evening spoiled just because company matters most. I would not recommend the place to anyone if you don't want to be treated...
Read moreStopped in to try some Swiss fondue with the family. We were seated quickly at a table in the back. The place has a great pub feel (it is a brasserie after all) and many were there drinking and socializing with some sports on TVs. The waitress took a long time to get our order and when we ordered only 1 fondue she seemed a little annoyed that we didn't order more. I also got a blonde ale they brewed which tasted like a saison/hefeweisen mix that was good. Our fondue came eventually (bread included) and was very good and filling for all of us. Definitely enough there for 4 when the waitress was pushing us to get more.
The sercice was poor and at one point another table wanted to expand and the waitress didn't nicely ask this other man of he would mind moving to fit them. It seemed a bit rude. All-in-all it was a nice, fun place with good home-brewed beers to choose from. I would recommend it for a social time with a...
