This is one of the worst Indian restaurant i have ever visited in my entire life outside India food & ambience is good but the staff are very rude no ethics and dominating i have ordered a starter costing 12 CHF but staff didn’t happy they want their customers to order food worth more than 30 CHF otherwise they were refused to serve i finally ordered food worth of 40 CHF I felt very bad as i didn’t want to spend too much on my food as i am visiting too many different countries. Very bad attitude of staff they need to change this attitude if the owner has instructed them to behave like that owner please change the attitude of employees give them proper training we go to McDonald’s or Burger King and order only Fries and come our they don’t say anything i have visited New York, London & Paris before coming to Switzerland and i used to order only Samosa or Onion bhaji for lunch or dinner they never said anything i wanted to order dishes worth of 18 CHF (Aloo tikki 12 CHF & Mutter rice 6 CHF and total 18 CHF) but staff was still saying it was not acceptable and chef is not accepting this order what the Hell ? is 18 CHF not big amount here in Geneva i was very much disappointed, frustrated with their behaviour.

Indian Bites is just around the station and serves authentic Indian food. Aloo tikki was perfect - the right mix of spices. We liked it so much, we ordered another plate. If you have never tasted Pani Puri before. definitely give it a try. Pav Bhaji was delicious and so generously portioned that we ended up having it as a main meal. Paneer Karahi, Chana masala were superb but what stole our heart was the unassuming, simple Dal Tadka. Though we wanted to try their dessert, we couldn't as we were so full. We saw many office goers dropping by for a quick bite - looks like they had a fixed menu or Thali for lunch. The place was quite full with office goers. Service was quick and the hosts were very warm.

On a cold and rainy day in Geneva, we were craving some comfort food, and Indian Bites delivered beyond expectations! The food was absolutely superb. We had the Paneer Tikka Masala (not on the menu, but just ask for it!), Butter Chicken, and Plain Naan, all of which were to die for. We also tried the white rice and the sambosa, which were both amazing. The ambiance was cozy, and the customer service was excellent. Our waiter, Tarek, was incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Plus, the bathroom was impeccably clean, which added to the overall great experience. If you’re looking for great Indian food in Geneva, this is the spot!

We recently ordered from Indian Bites, hoping for a comforting Indian meal, but unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations.

To start on a fair note: the delivery was delayed, but we’re not holding that entirely against the restaurant. These things happen, and to their credit, the staff was friendly and responsive when we called to check in—they promptly provided an update on our order status. Sadly, that’s where the positives end.

The food, quite frankly, was a major disappointment, especially considering Geneva’s already high prices. For what we paid, the quality was shockingly poor.

We ordered the Chicken Lababdar, Daal Makhani, and Garlic Naan. Here’s a breakdown:

Chicken Lababdar: This dish was unexpectedly sweet—which is completely off from its traditional flavor profile. Worse, the chicken itself was dry and stringy, making it genuinely unpleasant to chew despite being served in what should have been a rich, creamy sauce.

Daal Makhani: An absolute travesty. To be clear: this was not Daal Makhani. It arrived orange in color—something we’ve never encountered anywhere in South Asia—and bore no resemblance to the creamy, slow-cooked dish it’s supposed to be. The dal appeared to have been cooked separately and hastily mixed into a generic, overly spicy sauce, completely lacking in depth or seasoning. We had to stop eating after a few spoonfuls—it was that off-putting.

We base this review solely on the dishes we ordered and our online ordering experience. That said, the flaws were fundamental, not circumstantial—we don’t believe eating this in-house would have improved things. These aren’t minor taste issues; they reflect a serious lack of care in preparation and a misunderstanding of the dishes themselves.

We won’t be ordering again. We hope Indian Bites takes this feedback seriously and puts more thought into delivering food that does justice to...

Firstly, I shall mention the food; the paneer tikka masala was rubbery, undercooked, and lacking in spices, although the naans were freshly prepared and made up for it. The drinks portion was satisfactory.

The ambience was ordinary; there isn't much to comment on. Three stars.

The service, however, was absolutely abysmal. I should clarify that my cohort consisted of three teenagers, myself included; as we sat down and ordered our food, the waiter noticed that only one of us was eating. He rapidly ushered us to another table, stating that they required a table for four, despite possessing half a dozen more that were just as viable seating options. Furthermore, as we attempted to place the wine glasses elsewhere, "Mr. Puskin" proceeded to provide a five-minute lecture upon our "careless conduct", where we purportedly dirtied the wine glasses with our touch, although we grasped the stemware by the STEMS, a fact that he refused to acknowledge. Furthermore, Mr. Puskin proceeded to berate us on the apparent "mistake" of picking a table for four instead of a table for one. I believe he mistook hospitality for arrogance.

This conduct is extremely unprofessional. Rather than handling our actions in a calm and assured manner, Mr. Puskin chose to elevate this into an act of aggression. Clearly, he lacks experience in handling customers.

I do not write this review to dissuade potential clients, but rather to educate our server upon the matter of ethics. It is evident that he enjoys transfiguring even mildly critical reviews into shouting matches, as evidenced by the extremely argumentative replies.

Again, Mr. Puskin, I hope that you will reflect on your conduct and perhaps accept that you made a mistake in treating us in this manner. I bear you...
