The food was excellent and delicious! We really enjoyed the dishes and breads that were available. There are however some major problems with this place which makes it so that I can’t recommend it.

They couldn’t find my reservation at first despite one of the staff confirming to me via e-mail that it was set. That wasn’t a big deal however and we still got a table.

The issue with flies mentioned in other reviews is actually a big deal. We counted like 9 of them just around us 4 people at a table inside. So forget about a relaxing dinner, you’ll be waving one hand around trying to keep the flies off you and your food and the other hand to eat.

Inside is also quite cramped. A lot of space seems to be wasted to the bar in the centre.

The price of the food includes rice on the menu which is very different to “complimentary rice” that the staff claimed it was. We wanted to eat the dishes using the Indian bread but couldn’t replace the rice with bread like you usually can in many Indian restaurants internationally (Netherlands, Germany, Japan). So we paid for rice that we didn’t actually use. I didn’t mind paying extra but we still got served rice so had to get it taken away otherwise it’d be a waste of food.

We entered the restaurant at 17:30 and when we wanted to order they already told us our preferred choices were sold out. Kind of odd when it’s that early at dinner time.

Some investment in the bug issue would go a long way towards getting this rating to a 4 star rating. Fixing the interior and improving the service a bit would make a...

Recently I visited to Golden India in Switzerland & that left me thoroughly impressed. Hospitality which I received from team Golden India was amazingly wowww.....I was surprised that Mandeepji sent my picture to all the staff members that my friend is coming and you need to take care for him just becasue he was not there ... I was surprised by how much he cares for people, How humble he is and what service he is giving...Ofcourse by visiting 9 times we are having different level bond now but what I feel is sharing by words and doing by actions are 2 different things and this Above PAR service of Team golden India left smile on my face and space in my heart..Ofcourse Taste on my tongue that too in city like Swiss is just different level of feeling,

As well the food quality was exceptional, Their genuine care for their guests is evident in every interaction, making you feel like a cherished member of the family. The impeccable service added a personal touch to the overall dining experience. And let's not forget the talented culinary team; their dedication to delivering mouthwatering Indian dishes is commendable. I have visited Switzerland total of 9 times, and each time I return, I find the same amazing taste and quality that keeps me coming back for more. Golden India is a place where great food, exceptional hospitality, and an amazing team with the best leaders like Mandeepji & Brother come together to create unforgettable memories."

The Golden Indian Restaurant in Grindelwald is truly a gem! Every time we visit, it’s spotless, beautifully maintained, and has such a welcoming atmosphere. The service is always exceptional the staff greet you with genuine warmth, even when it’s close to closing time.

One special memory we’ll never forget Summer 2024 : once we arrived and found the restaurant closed, so we called to check. The owner kindly explained it was temporarily closed but still welcomed us in and served us a delicious meal. That level of hospitality is rare and truly appreciated!

The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and comforting, and the whole experience makes you feel like a valued guest. We always leave happy, and it’s a place we’ll return to again and again. Highly recommend!!!!🫶🏻 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
