LA FOLLIA — Restaurant in St. Gallen

Immediately upon arrival, the staff seemed to be on edge. The food was actually delicious until my friend found a stone present in her salad, which she subsequently spilt out. I suspect that it originated from the mushroom. Many sellers put stones in their mushrooms so that they can sell them for a higher price, meaning the kitchen did not properly clean out the vegetables before serving them to their clients.

The request for another dish was immediately met with a negative reaction and the staff could be heard making joking remarks about it in the kitchen. They ignored us for the remainder of the meal, regardless of how many times we called them to our table, until we finally requested a check.

The food is of good quality, which is why I hope the restaurant takes such criticism seriously, since this is not the only negative review that complains about rude staff. There is tremendous potential in this restaurant. However, rude staff can prove to be...

Da ich in der Nähe arbeite, gehe ich hier ab und an mit Berufskollegen Mittagessen. Sie haben zum Mittag eine abwechslungsreiche Lunchkarte mit Salat oder Suppe und einem Vegi oder Fleischhauptgang für moderate CHF 22.50. Zusätzlich kann man selbstverständlich auch von der a la carte Karte wählen, wobei die natürlich teurer ist. Im EG ist die kleine Showküche und die Bar. Im Sommer haben sie eine Terasse, ansonsten ist der Essbereich im 1. OG.

Die Küche ist sehr fein… wirklich sehr feine italienische Kochkunst! Auch das Ambiente in der Altstadt ist gemütlich und behaglich. Leider hat das Resti ein weitverbreitetes Problem… Küche uiii, Service pfuiii…

Die Servicemitarbeiter wechseln regelmässig, wobei auch nicht alle fliessend deutsch sprechen. Bei unserem gestrigen Besuch leistete sich dieser mehrere Fauxpas: Getränke falsch gebracht (statt Shorley - Cola Zero) Mittagsmenü überhaupt nicht genannt, erst auf Nachfrage, mit der Aussage: Ohh, hatte ich diese nicht genannt… Abräumen der Suppe, obwohl einer von 3en noch ganz klar am Essen war… Vorspeisenbesteck wurde nicht ausgehoben, wobei alle Suppe hatten…

Wobei ich doch sagen muss, dass der Service nicht unfreundlich ist, wenn auch nicht gut.

Von mir gibt es hierdurch 4-Sterne. Und ich werde auch weiterhin zum...

It was only one opened place on 2nd Jan :) majority of other places were fully closed however on the maps were marked like opened. Their interior looks charming, take a look at all their 3 floors. All dishes we ordered were great: fresh, tasty and well designed. Their waitress lady was so friendly and nice. Maybe they have a WiFi but we didn’t...
