tibits — Restaurant in Winterthur

A year or so on from the last time I visited, and the food is still tasty, but almost the same variety, with little change and updating of the dishes.

But this was the least of the problems yesterday when we went for lunch, really, you have to work on your people skills, you cannot insult, and belittle someone, twice, because you are behind the counter.

The lady that I ordered drinks with was so, so rude and insulting!!! After this, the food unfortunately didn't taste good, If my wife was not waiting with food at the table, I would have walked out!!! Disappointed!!!

I don't think I will be going back!!!

A very nice and casual place to meet for coffee or food. I never would have thought that I ever be a vegetarian and enjoy the food. Well this place has done it!!! Personnel arrogant and not tolerant. Today I have been asked to leave the outdoor table (note: outdoor was desert, I was the only attendant of the outdoor tables as it was a cold day) as I took a take away (and not a porcelain dish- I’ve been said it’s not a picnic corner) and I was eating together with my son who decided to have a kebab as he didn’t find anything he liked in the restaurant. Understandable as the food my son bought was not from them (but mine was), but the reason has been given to me is that ‘I was damaging the image of the restaurant having someone eating meet while it is a vegetarian restaurant’. I can understand, but to me it is more damaging the image if a mother having lunch with her son (again, with food bought at tibits) gets kicked out like that in a very arrogant tone. Stopped by this vegetarian spot and was honestly delighted by how many options they had. Everything looked so good I had to stop myself from turning my plate into a small mountain. The food was super fresh and full of flavor zero sad salad vibes here.

Grabbed a juice with my plate and it was on point. Refreshing, not too sweet, and felt like a solid life decision. They charge by weight, so beware: everything looks amazing and it adds up quick if you’re not paying attention.

Shoutout to the staff too, super friendly and even pointed out that I could grab a bread to go with my plate. Didn’t even ask, they just looked out.
