Belcafé — Restaurant in Zurich

Best pizza in Zurich city. Their margherita alone suffices in quality of taste to easily forget about any pizza with toppings - something I find remarkable, given I have never been so impressed by a margherita from any other pizzeria that this would occur. A resident of Zurich and customer of Belcafé pizza since over 10 years, I have only good things to say about this establishment, concerning both quality and convenience. Indeed, they are open surprisingly late on weekend nights, which is perfect for anyone on their way home from a night out.

Furthermore, I'd like to convey my particular appreciation for their pizzaiolo, Mr Altay. So great has his courtesy and friendliness been, in dealing with my girlfriend and myself, as customers, that I feel so moved to declare my admiration of him. Every time we go for Belcafe pizza, we are warmly met and excellently served by Mr Altay, who positively contributes to our day/evening with his excellent attitude and outstandingly sociable demeanor. :)

The cafe has a charming atmosphere and a great view of the Bellevueplatz, where you can watch the trams and people passing by. The cafe has a steel structure that dates back to 1939 and is an architectural landmark of Zurich.

I learned that is known for its homemade pizza, which is made with fresh dough, tomato sauce, grilled vegetables & mozzarella cheese. You can enjoy the pizza as a take away or to stay in the cafe.
