I love the food but I'd much rather go eat at the Cèdre at Badenerstrasse even though it's only indoors because at this Cèdre (Bellevue) the restaurant manager is a lot less polite, friendly and hospitable. If you try both you'll see what I mean! As an example: The lunch opening hours are listed online as 11:30-14:30 but when I arrived at 11:30 the restaurant owner was smoking and playing on his phone outside and when I asked for a table replied "we're closed". When I said that the opening hours were 11:30-14:30 online he said he "doesn't care" and that they only open at 12:00. I walked around for a bit and saw that he gave another group of people tables outside at 11:45. I found this dishonest and went elsewhere. Another thing is that they are very unclear about their take-away option. Sometimes they tell you they don't offer take-away on a given day but if someone else calls a couple of minutes later they say seem to have changed their minds. Sometimes they say they're too busy but I have gone by once and the manager told me all annoyed that (even though the restaurant was empty) they do not do take-away. All in all I cannot give this restaurant only 1 star because I absolutely love the food and with there is a lot of potential with the seating outside. However, the restaurant manager is moody and it would be nice for the owner who manages the other Cèdre to take...
Read moreI spent the evening there with 6 other people. The food was delicious, however I have never experienced such a bad service.
Our waitress was literally running in between tables and was rude, agressive, impatient and did not know how provide answers to our basic questions concerning their wines (we just wanted to know the differences between the Lebanese ones because we had never tried it before).
We ordered a Mezzeh “1001 Nacht” and no one even deigned to explain what the plates were while being served (discovering this cuisine being the point of going to the restaurant, isn’t it ?).
She even forgot to bring spoons or forks prior dessert simply because she was too busy mocking me when I asked her wether we would receive tea before the last service.
My father in law (who paid for the group) made a mistake during payment and put his PIN code instead of the tip, which can happen to any elderly people who cannot see properly from close. She shouted at him and screamed as she snatched the payment terminal from his hands.
I have never written such a bad review before but the disrespect there was real.
Considering we all took the most expensive menu and ordered two bottles of wines and many other drinks, I expected our table to be served with basic kindness and thoughtfulness, which were nowhere to be found.
Shout out to the cooks though.

Read moreVery authentic Lebanese food. It was a delight dining there. It’s just off the lake with al fresco dining. The buzz of the crowd and the busy outdoor dining area captured the essence of Zurich. Lots to look at never mind the delicious cuisine. Plenty of plates to choose from and we dined family style with about 30 different dishes from vegetarian to meat dishes. Great selection to fill anyone’s appetite. Really had a wonderful experience and the service was perfect, the drinks were cold, the restaurant was clean, and everyone was friendly. Would highly recommend a stop here while in Zurich. If not for the food, then absolutely for the views. Centrally located near the shopping district with lots to do before and...
