What a fantastic find! We drove all the way to Zurich to try their food and were astound by the quality and taste of the food - especially for the price! We got to the restaurant before they opened and asked if we could sit inside while we wait for the dinner service to start (it was freezing outside) and they sat us down right away, took our drink orders and even let us start having the dinner buffet before the opening time of 6pm.
In addition to the mouthwatering vegan buffet, the thoughtful staff and the amazing price (especially for Zurich!) I was also impressed by how clean the restaurant was and how much effort they put it to help protect themselves and their clients from Covid. The tables were properly deprecated to keep us safe, everyone had to wear a mask while standing and at the buffet, but more importantly they asked their guests to wear protective gloves they provided when grabbing food at the buffet and they made sure to remind everyone to wear a mask when getting food (most places just assume guests will and don't enforce it).
We felt safe, welcomed and full with delicious food! This place...
Read moreHaving visited Tibetasia once before, we were curious to try out Chimy's and see how the food is here (they are sister establishments). They couldn't contrast more. While we were welcomed warmly by the owner/manager at Tibetasia, the one in charge at Chimy's was cold and stern. We got the impression that we have been sent to the principal's office. Where Tibetasia was crowded and lively, Chimy's was almost empty on a Friday evening. The menu was quite small and unimaginative. When we ordered drinks, I was told that the drink I wanted wasn't available. Fair enough. I took a few seconds and decided on another one. The waitress/manager told me that it wasn't available as well and has been so for months. I got the impression that I'm doing something wrong. We chose the buffet and I have to say that the food was decent but nowhere close to being authentic.
All in all, what could have been an average dining experience was rendered bad by the behavior of the...
Read moreChimy is an excellent asian food restaurant located nicely in the mid of the city and comfortably reachable by bus number 32. We are vegetarian and there were excellent choices for the same in each category. We did not need to wait for table luckily and serving time after the order was perfect. Kehn was our waiter and he was excellent in not only suggesting the dishes but also confirming the serving sizes which were accurate. Service was top notch. They always had smile and were really nice to everyone. We found the taste of all we ordered that included red thai curry, schezwan tofu and vegan momos really amazing and the portions were more than sufficient. Don't miss the coconut kokos dessert at the last! Lastly the price is extremely suitable for the overall portion, taste and experience. We totally enjoyed and had a good time...
