The food was absolutely delicious, with an explosion of flavors in all the dishes.
However, I’m only giving 3 stars because the service was terrible.
First of all, when we arrived, they didn’t have our reservation and seated us at an isolated table without an apology.
Secondly, after being seated, we were kindly offered water, only to discover on the menu that they were charging each person 4.50 CHF for tap water! And 3 CHF for bread! And even more charges for butter ! This is scandalous…
Thirdly, the waitress was quite arrogant. After my first friend placed his order, she asked, “Is that all?” without waiting for the rest of us. When we said, “No, we’re going to order more,” she let out a relieved “oufff,” as if glad we were ordering additional dishes. It was very unprofessional and made us feel uncomfortable.
While the starters came out fairly quickly, everything else took much longer. We ended up waiting 20 minutes for the bill, which was thrown at us without a word or even eye contact.
On a positive note, I highly recommend the lamb breast, and for those wondering about portion sizes: 2 main dishes and shared starters were enough for everyone...
Read moreI found the prices extortionate. Tap water - that doesn't need to be filtered, we're in Switzerland in a city! - was 4.5 CHF per person. A fizzy 250 ml max sweet drink without alcohol with some ice and a tiny piece of orange cost 9.5 CHF! The same 9.5 CHF for a glass of non-alcoholic wine. What's the point? The menu says it's recommended to order 3 to 4 dishes, depending on the size 3 dishes could be enough, but this would bring you already to 60 CHF. Only for food for one person without a desert! The food is fine, nicely presented, sorry for no photos. The service is efficient and dishes are served rather quickly. The setting outside is okay, super windy and very close to the road, which makes it sometimes difficult to hear each other if you're in a group of people and slightly away...
Read moreI had lunch with friends here on a Sunday. The place is trendy and has a nice atmosphere. Outside, I don’t like it’s so close to the train tracks (just my opinion) but it can be sunny. The food menu had very few interesting items and rather overpriced; the focus was brunch style even when we went for normal lunch time (1pm). We ordered different meals and everyone was somewhat disappointed. I had the bacon pancake and it was small and unimpressive. They charged 2 CHF per person for tap water without any warning when they offer to bring it!! Service was slow and minimal. They placed the cutlery and napkins on the middle of the table. Probably coming back for a drink because of the location but not...
