Pho 50 — Restaurant in Zurich

This restaurant is with in walking distance from the Crowne Plaza. We ordered the summer rolls, vegetable soup, and shrimp dumplings for the appitizers. Everything was delicious and brought out quickly. For the main course we had the red curry, fried rice and udon noodles that were equally tasty. The service was great. Our waitress was very pleasant and helpful. She provided us with tips on what to see while in Zurich. Very happy that this restaurant has Kho Qua. I found it much too salty though. Next time I will try to call ahead to ask whether they can reduce the salt.

Update: they reduced the salt upon request, and it was great!

I think this is probably the best Vietnamese place in Zürich, and most probably the only one that makes the effort to offer bittermelon. I love bittermelon and am so happy to find this place! I would definitely...

I ordered Bun Bo Hue. Right at the first look I already knew that it's not authentic. The color of the broth is too strong, it looks more like a Curry Noddle. The taste is quite foreign. Anyway, I'm a Vietnamese so I know that I'm picky when it comes to the authenticity of a Vietnamese restaurant. The herb side dish is also very uninviting.
