I have finally tasted all rosso arancio flavors and I did over different times over the years so I feel I can share a sincere review. In a city where the competition on gelato has finally started to pick up, here we have a gelato that might be loosing the race where it was once on the top. Whereas texture remains one of the most comparable to real Italian gelato, the taste has decreased a lot. Stracciatella made with hardly any chocolate chips inside , cookies without either taste of cookie or cookies itself, amarena which taste of fior di latte only unless you are lucky enough to find an amarena, a mango that has so less mango that almost looks white . A lot of tastes now are bland and flavorless where in the past they used to be the talk of the town. Sadly, a typical Zurich story: made yourself a name with quality at first , then keep on selling overpriced food at half of the quality but double the (already high) profits. Cremositá however is still there , I just hope they will restart enriching their flavors with generous ingredients, and return the best...

I was very hesitant to leave this comment. But it's slowly becoming a bit too much and I have to write something. This place used to be run by a lady who was truly fantastic. When you ordered a Maxi, you really got a properly “loaded” ice cream. But over the past few years, the prices have gone up — which is absolutely fine, because inflation is a problem. However, the biggest annoyance is that the portions have kept getting smaller and smaller. I believe the lady has hired other people by now, who either have no idea what they’re doing or have been instructed to only put tiny amounts into the ice cream. Today, I got a Maxi that was exactly half — and I really mean half — of what I used to get. And that really got on my nerves, because the person said: “She thinks it’s already good like that.” It’s really, really a shame what this place has turned into. And honestly, I don’t think I’ll ever set foot in there again. For me, it’s bordering on being a rip-off, and I’m truly sorry about that. Please take your business back and run it the way you used to! Goodbye.
P.S.: I’ve mentioned this problem a few times before (I was almost a daily customer), but since nothing has improved, it had to go public now. The maxi...
Read moreTook a day trip to Zürich and when we had to make an ice cream stop, it had to be Rosso Arancio!
They have an amazing selection of gelatos and sorbets which made it so difficult to just choose 2. Wished I had chosen 3 flavours instead!
I opted for Cassis (blackcurrant) and Amarena (cherry), both of which tasted amazing plus it went so well together! They weren’t too sweet and the cassis had a little sourish tinge which was what I liked about it!
My friend had the cassis as well, along with Straciatella and Noisette (hazelnut), all of which were...
