粵香園 — Restaurant in Da'an District

Excellent Cantonese good with decent portion that is reasonable priced, matched with excellent service, 粵香園 is hard to beat. Fom fresh live seafood, Cantonese barbeque, to regular Cantonese dishes, you can't go wrong with whatever you order because everything taste good here. This place has been here for a long time and they are always busy. That alone shows it is a good place to go. They also know your voice when calling for carry out and know many of the regulars by name. People who work there aren't related but work as if they are from the family, and you get the warm feeling as if they treat you like family. Decades old place and one of local favourites. Off one of the most crowded part of the city is this old restaurant that won’t stand out against today’s modern restaurants. The restaurant didn’t changed in the past decades which I supposed is why in part why it continues to be the gathering place of “old friends”. One of those place which the owner warmly greets patrons that have been visiting and celebrating many of their life events there.

Service is polite and courteous. Not sure if they speak English. The best dish is the Claypot Rice (煲仔飯). Made to order so expect to wait 20 mins but worth it.
