Overall Impression → Cozy place with local Taiwanese dishes in a vegan version.
Food Highlights → I highly recommend "braised stinky tofu" for main course, and the "smoked bean curd" and "kimchi" for side dishes. →The "coral grass with white fungus" dessert is really impressive— they will ask you if you'd like to add milk or coconut milk, and honestly, you could visit just for this dessert. → The "vegan thin noodles" are worth trying (since it's their signature dish :P). →The "savory rice pudding" is quite nice, but there's a daily limit, so if you want to try it, it's better to go around noon
Service & Environment → The staff were friendly, and the tables were clean. You need to find a seat first and then order at the counter. → If you're dining alone or with just one friend, seats are usually available (I've never needed to book a table). → If you order dessert, they will serve it after the meal, which is quite nice, isn't it?
Price & Value → The prices are reasonable for the portion size.
Return Intention → I usually come here for a meal whenever...
Read moreChing Chun Veggie is a famed vegan restaurant serving up Taiwanese fair that's fully plant-based and delicious. They're on the top of a lot of people's lists and for good reason - they have amazing lunch deals and are just good.

Even the side dishes here were everything. We got to select two out of a list of eight sides, and they were quite hearty in itself. I tried a mushroom medley as well as 'vegan goose,' which was a hit.
We also got their Stinky Tofu which my dad really enjoyed. Serve that over some rice and you got another meal in itself.
The jelly, red bean dessert that was included with our lunch was also fabulous. A great cleanser after a...

Cute decor vegan-friendly Taiwanese thin noodle shop, with a few gluten-free friendly options(not labeled on the menu). The server and kitchen staff were very patient with helping me choose which dishes can be made gluten-free. Most local shops wouldn’t take food intolerances or allergies this seriously, so it was very much appreciated.
I had the brown rice porridge (without veggie meat floss, which contains gluten). It tasted clean, seasoned only with salt. I made sure no msg nor “mushroom seasoning”(contains wheat germ) was added. All the cold dishes displayed had soy sauce, but the two special side dishes they had that day were both free from gluten, so...
