I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel this experience should be shared.

I first tried to make a reservation through LINE, but received no response. When I arrived, I was told the restaurant was fully booked. A simple reply to my message would have saved me and my family the trouble. I asked if we could dine in quickly since there were empty tables at least an hour before the next reservation, but they refused. I then requested takeout instead.

Unfortunately, from the moment I paid, the attitude shifted noticeably. When I asked politely if there were nearby places we could eat (as we’re not familiar with the area), the staff dismissed us, saying they were “too busy.” When I requested extra cutlery because we were sharing sets, the staff rolled her eyes and told me I’d have to pay extra, only giving the exact number of forks based on the sets ordered. Being met with eye-rolling and curt replies multiple times was really unpleasant.

On top of the service, the food itself was a disappointment. It was slimy, tasteless, and far from what I’d expect given the high praise this restaurant often receives. As someone who has been vegetarian since birth, I genuinely do not understand the hype.

Overall, I tried to approach the staff with patience and understanding, but the experience left us feeling unwelcome and disrespected. Both the service and food fell far below...

Overall nice experience here, ambience is nice and food is good. However, I must say I am not as amazed by the tastes as the looks. All the food looks SO GOOD. The taste is on the blander side for me personally.

Also, it’s not super friendly for families with young babies or toddlers as they do not have baby chairs available. They were slow to entertain us when we were at the door but quick to serve us once we were seated.

I think this is probably due to their customers mostly coming with reservations - highly recommended to book via Line first before coming.

We made a special trip down and the crew said we probably had to wait 40 minutes. Luckily a suitable table cleared up within 15-20 minutes.

I wish the crew were a bit more proactive when clearing tables and entertaining customers at the door, esp with babies…

Enjoyed the experience overall - love the old style building, the decor...

There are some hits and misses, but the yuba rice keeps me coming back!

Overall Impression: Enjoyable enough to return. Favorites: Yuba rice is a standout dish for you. Veggie curry also good! Least Favorites: Beef spaghetti has a heavy soy aftertaste that I didn’t like.
