紅昌吉豬血湯 — Restaurant in Datong District

It was raining. There was not a lot of people.I was not sure how they arranged the sit there,hence I gently asked the staff in red uniform in Chinese where I could sit and I only had one person. The girl looked at me with cold eyes and did not respond. She went to the reception area, stood there and left me standing.i asked two more times with calmness and she did not respond. As I stood there , patiently waiting for her response, she finally said with a high pitch: "What, what do you want, sit? You can sit whereever you want". I'm not sure what happened to her previously that she had to lay her anger, rudeness and unprofessional manner on me and presented 紅昌吉昌吉街豬血湯 in such a way. I left the place...

One of the best place to eat pig’s blood and intestine. Sounds vulgar, but try theirs first before you judge. The restaurant is quite spacious. Sadly, there are no english menu yet, but you can point at the pictures to order.

The pig’s blood was soft, juicy and packed with flavors. The intestine was not too chewy and easy to bite. The soup was beyond this world, especially when you eat it with rice. There some sauces if you want to add more flavor, but do try their original first.

Thanks to my new friend from Malaysia but PR in Taiwan brought me here. She claimed that this restaurant will only be known by the locals but not tourists. I love their braised pork rice very much! And of course the pig blood broth, very tasty 😍 The boss and staff are very friendly, and the food is served very fast although full of customers.
