Coffee Dumbo — Restaurant in Datong District

I have not find any information regarding reservation only for dine in experience. However, I was refused to dine in since it was on reservation basis, but you can buy a take out. The coffee and cinnamon role were great, but.....

I am supsicious there is something discriminatory here (not only this cafe) for non-mandarin speakers. I try to find other cafes but I was refused with similar experience, they said it was full when they have not even checked it yet. Cannot comment on the other cafe as it has no google map presence yet.

For foreigners, let me know if you share similar experience. Or it's just the asian non-mandarin speakers. Or it was simply a bad day for me.

Edit: let me edit my comment since I cannot reply. I had not been offered into the waitlist whatsoever. It was unfair to you that I have generalised what happened and if it was a wrong assumption. But, there were no info the map that it needs reservation nor was I offered to be waitlist. So it wont change my rate and it is a bad experience for...

It's a pity without dining in due to full of store, but you still can feel the Deco, interior and atmosphere were amazing. Back to coffee and food, hmmmm, ice Americano was just an ice Americano, nothing special, interesting combination for "apple coffee", but it's just a cup of coffee with all apple juice.... Smack in the midst of a lively hipster street called Chifeng street in Datong District, Coffee Dumbo was worth visiting. Their flat white and iced latte were pretty good for Taipei level (some places served us diluted Americano and 99% milk in latte) and albeit the cafe being small which seemed like it could fit 11-15 pax, they also had a corner where they sell some merch and coffee sachets which are great as gifts!
