La Pasta 義麵屋 南西店 — Restaurant in Datong District

Came here over the weekend to have lunch with family. My sister in law really hyped this place up. Unfortunately this place did not live up to that hype. They food overall was just average. The biggest issue I have is that the kitchen did a very poor job in timing their food delivery. Everyone at my table had their food delivered at different times. By the time my two youngest nieces got their food the rest of the table was all finished with their food. In situations like this a second serving of garlic bread would have been nice. It’s been a while to visit La Pasta. Food is great as usual in my memory, however the service is terrible. Just asked the customers to scan and order food which is okay for me. However it’s not professional and no confirmation with the customers and repeat the order after the order and just found I made a mistake on my the order until we got the food. I was being challenged when I asked another cup of water because my kid just drank another family’s. A real gem in this area. Wonderful Italian fare with an extensive list of pasta dishes with every imaginable sauce choice. The spaghetti I tried was perfectly cooked, al dente, as it should be, and the tomato basil meat sauce was delicious. Risotto also was fabulous, and perfectly prepared.
