We visited this place seeing it's reviews and wanted to try. But despite it's recent review on staff manners.. please keep an open mind! (I just shrugged it off as HK-er attitude but my family did not 😅)
💁♀️ We were welcomed in Chinese saying that there is seat for 3 upstairs and 2 downstairs for our party of 5. To which we said its okay, we’d just stay together and manage. The staff then told us not to disturb other guests (which I kind of understand, but it felt a bit direct to say right at the start, especially since we hadn’t done anything yet). We stayed to order but then she was nice to tell us to go and get seated first (it did not come out nicely as it was mostly a stare). Later she has also reminded us that she already gave us the seats and we did not take it 😅
📃 Most of the ordering/menu is in Chinese, and it states in Chinese that there is a minimum order of TWD100-110 per person. (we did not know at first but I was told to order more since there was a minimum) The prices I must say is slightly high.
🍽 The place is mostly self service. You take a seat given, you go to counter to order, and bring the food to your own table once ready. Once you are finished, you return your dishes.
💡 Atmosphere was very classic, a bit of vinyage things, recordings, vintage items around the place, ambient mood etc. Very nice.
🥄 Each tasted very great 👍, though I wish there was no minimum order, since the portion was quite big and many would probably want to share. I would personally recomend anything with the black sesame in it.
🎨 The art on the menus were very cute, and seeing the staff so dedicated to drawing the art it was nice. Please bear in mind that some menus will have and some menus won't have art on it, depending on what you order.
While leaving, there was a slight smile and "thank you" from the staff, I think she's not much of a friendly person but she means well 😅 Anyways, thank you for the nice art 🎨
