After having seafood donburi in Hokkaido, I’ve been craving it ever since, so we decided to check out Jiayuan Sushi (加園壽司) at Keelung Ren’ai Market during a recent trip.
We all ordered the Salmon Don, and it was fantastic. The salmon was fresh, thickly sliced, and had just the right amount of fat, making each bite incredibly smooth and flavorful. The rice portion was slightly small, but for 420 NTD per bowl, it’s a really good deal for the quality.
As for the service, it was a bit rushed and not very warm, but definitely not as bad as some reviews make it seem. The stall was busy, so we understood that they were probably just trying to keep things moving. We didn’t mind the wait too much, but a little more friendliness wouldn’t hurt!
