I’ve been wanting to try this place out for a long time and finally got the chance to visit! TBH, I went past it spontaneously since I was in the neighborhood. They were super busy and there were a lot of customers both dining in and ordering takeout out. I think the staff are superheroes cuz the Taiwanese summer heat is absolutely brutal and they have to keep cooking and keep an eye on the steamed dumplings. Mad respect! I ordered the most expensive thing on the menu, the shrimp steamed dumplings. I’ve heard a little of good things about them so I decided to try them out. The dumplings were filled with meat and had a cute little shrimp poking out each one. The dumpling skin was fairly thin and had a nice chewy texture. The meat was seasoned well, with a nice meatiness and sweetness. They were juicy and plump but kind of in the oilier side for me. I would definitely order the leek dumplings or the cabbage ones next time to try! It’s a good thing I got the ginger n spicy soy to pair cuz they helped cut thru the oiliness a bit. Also I am a ginger lover, so I’ll be getting some extra packs next time as well ;) Overall, a nice homey place to dine for traditional steamed dumplings. Good quality, fresh ingredients, friendly staff. Im already looking forward to...

Reply depends on the dish you are getting. Tried the shrimp dumplings, jiu cai dumplings and corn dumplings in corn soup.

Shrimp dumplings were really just the pork dumplings with the added shrimp at the top. The shrimp is not really juicy/ big, did not add more flavour to the dish. The bright orange prawns made the dish more visually appealing, that’s it.

Jiu cai dumplings were the best of the bunch we tried today, pairs very nicely with ginger, vinegar and soy sauce.

Corn dumplings were made with cabbage filling, not very corny at all. The soup itself was weird for me, it was mostly thickened by starch.

We were there just before the lunch crowd arrived, it’s a small eatery that gets fillies up quite quickly once the...

This was my second visit. After stopping by a famous bakery (though we skipped it due to the long queue), we headed over here.

The variety of dumplings is impressive and they taste great. I’ll definitely return when I’m in the area.

However, the shop has minimal service. You order and pay outside. They tend to squeeze groups into small tables to maximize space during lunch time. Just insist on your preference, and they will usually accommodate you.

The prices are reasonable, and the place gets quickly packed...

The skin of the dumplings is just at the perfect thickness to wrap awesome juice inside! Not too thick yet very chewy!!! I highly recommend shrimp luffa and spicy Korean kimchi!! These flavor is very special yet amazing! The garlic chives is good as well! If you come at dining time there’ll be a lot people so probably have to wait a while, but it’s worth it! Don’t miss the small dishes(小菜) and soup! Price is so cheap and the interior is just decent. I like the service too. Definitely my top 2 steam dumpling place in Taipei!
