Lamb Biryani (Indian Fried Rice) ($380): The staff does meet my demands for not putting onions inside the rice. It’s topped with 3 nuts and well-seasoned with some sliced coriander and tomatoes. Most importantly, the mutton cutlets taste much tenderer than any other lamb biryanis I’d ever tried before; its great tenderness is that I can genuinely bite the cutlets into smaller sizes effortlessly.
Masala Tea ($80): The masala tea tastes a little piquant and distinctly different from the typical milk tea, which is the main reason why I mostly order masala tea whenever I dine in Indian restaurants.
Kheer ($80): It doesn’t have a strong flavour but I still like the gluey and fluidic texture at cool temperature.
The restaurant is only a few steps away from the MRT Nanjing Fuxing exit 6 for green line passengers and exit 7 for brown line passengers. Furthermore, there is another branch of this Indian restaurant I’ve been to near NTNU and MRT Guting.
To top it off, authentic and delicious delicacies, rapid delivery, benevolent service, atmosphere and everything is as good as the other branch. Overall, it’s a 10 out of 10!
FYI, you scan the QR code on a corner of the table to order and the 10% service charge is included...
Read moreI haven’t had Indian food for more than a year. I was looking forward to it. We ordered a set dinner for two. However, I was not impressed by the dishes. I personally can cook very decent chicken tikka masala. I am pretty disappointed about the blend flavor of how they prepared the chicken tikka masala. They obviously didn’t use all the spices that need be there to marinate the chicken. I also don’t think they grill, pan sear or bake the chicken before cooking them in a rich mixed spices of curry sauce. So the dish missed both the flavor and texture. They also unusually put green bell peppers in the dish that added strange touch to the sauce. Naan is good but the rice is cold and old. The lamb that we ordered was put in an iron plate without making that sizzling sound like next table. It looks all right but also feel old. I talked to the manager. He told me their dish had localized for Taiwanese I shall ask for India flavor next time. Unfortunately, I don’t think I will bring myself back again. I would give a two stars rating if wasn’t for the server who provided a...
Read moreMy experience at "Out of India" in Taipei was a complete waste of time and a masterclass in how not to treat customers. After waiting an hour for the restaurant to open, me and my friend were told we could not be served the items we ordered—2 Aalo Parantha, 1 Onion Parantha, and 2 teas—unless we also ordered a curry. Forcing us to buy curry having at-least 200 NTD. This isn't about running a business; it's about forcing customers to spend more money and showing a complete disregard for their needs. They are clearly prioritizing profits over providing any actual service. We left without eating a single thing. I strongly advise anyone considering dining here to think twice. This restaurant is not interested in serving you; they are only interested in how much money they can squeeze out of you. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere that values...
