Food - ok but nothing special. Serving sizes - huge, too big. Service - the service staff that took my order and managed the feedback could be easily replaced by an AI.
I'm sorry to write a negative review, I hope it will be helpful for others.
I was alone and wanted a quick dinner. Walked in and took a seat, didn't look at other tables - my fault.
A lady took my order: 2 rolls, 1 assorted sashimi (5 pieces) and one rice with pork cutlet. I asked the lady if the ordered quantity was ok and she told me it was.
The servings are huge: apart from the rolls, the rice had two sliced pork cutlets and one omelette on it. To be frank, I was ready to give up some white rice at the time of the order but I wasn't expecting the servings to be this big. I find it nonsense and exaggerated, in particular for the rice bowl that is generally not shared.
I finished everything but the rice bowl and the omelette.
After I paid at the counter and I was about to leave, another lady asked if the food was ok. I explained that the serving was quite big and I wasn't expecting it to be so much, and pointed out that her colleague should have advised me.
When she replied that some people can finish it, I stressed again that to provide a good service, the service staff should advise the customers that maybe they over ordered. Then she asked if the service was ok...
My arms felt on the floor... I replied that the service has been so bad, that I ended up just wasting money and not enjoying dinner.
No actions taken.
I was ready to pay and leave without even wasting my time to leave a negative review. Since they asked and conversation evolved this way, I had to. I hope it will help other people to not have the...
Read moreThis is a Northern California Style Sushi restaurant, as the name says. It is easily reachable, beside taxi of course, via the MRT Green and Brown line at Nanjing-Fuxing station, 5 min away. The restaurant is in a small street to the south of the station. The ambience is very very nice and lively and you will probably find the place busy most of the time with young locals. There is a really wide selection of California style sushi rolls (we tried a couple of them, really good). Beside more traditional sashimi and nigiri and a lot of other options but not excessive (which is good in our view as this is a sushi restaurant). The portions are generous, for example the simple seared sushi salmon nigiri was exceptional and fresh to our taste and on par with what we tried in Tokyo local restaurants in the Tsukiji area, the best sushi we had. Price-quality ratio is also very good. There are enough tables and enough space. There is also a basement area and despite being at B1 level, it is quite lively and there is enough distance so it feels both spacey and cozy. The staff are very cordial, professional and attentive and service is very very good in our experience. One of the best sushi restaurant probably top 3 or 5 in my list. Well done to the team and keep up the good...

To people who are looking for a unique style of Japanese fusion cuisine in Taipei, I will definitely recommend this restaurant. I was living nearby during last business trip in TW, and every time I went to office or back to hotel, I passed through this restaurant. The naming of dishes raised my curiosity, so I tried it in a weekend.
I had Miso-yu and one of its significant dish --- BMW. The Miso-yu was so rich in ingredients! Definitely worthing, if not exceeding, its price, which was only 50 NTD!!
But what truely impressed me was the BMW sushi roll. It was F.A.N.T.A.S.T.I.C.! Multiple ingredients combined nicely as a whole dosh and elevate the flavor. I really love the combination of avocado, cheese and salmon. They all had a milky texture, and they melted in my month just like melting butter!! And I really have to say, the nut granuates on top of the sushi, really a spot on!!
Like its name, this BMW fired the engine on the taste buds in my month. This cuisine is really stong, i will definitely revisit this restaurant and try other...
