安德魯印度料理餐廳 Andrew’s Indian Restaurant Since 2005 — Restaurant in Taichung

Another 5 star authentic Indian place in TC. Place was packed at lunch so I had to sit at the table right by the entranceway.

Palak paneer was outstanding with authentic flavors, full of aroma and real spices, unlike some other places that were more watered down.  The cheese was also blended very well with the spinach, unlike some other places where they simply threw in the cheese at the end, and made the cheesy flavor stand out too much.

Garlic naan was spot on, with a bit of crispy texture to it, but soft enough for you to pull apart like how a naan is supposed to be.  It was obvious that it came out from a tandori oven, instead of from a frying pan with a flame.

Mango Lassi was very refreshing as well.

Price was on the high side at ~$400 a dish, but the high quality of the food, the high end feel of the ambience along with the top notch service, more than justified the higher price.

Special mention to the main lady staff who provided an exceptional service despite being swamped.  I waited for about an hour before my food arrived, and I was still a super happy customer, all because her hospitality was second to none.  She could speak English too, for those who'd find it useful.  Her service, attitude, and professionalism were that of what is common practice at high end restaurants.  She was an elegant staff with class, who kept things under control like that of a strong anchor.   Two thumbs up for the whole team, including the 2 chefs at the back and the 2 helpers at the front who all worked their butt off for a busy service.  A well deserved 5 star!

家裡沒開伙 ，下班出來找吃的， 吃點防疫餐。多吃印度咖哩看能不能提高 免疫力， 印度香料不是我熟悉的味道。但是比起日式咖哩有截然不同的風味。 印度烤餅也不錯吃。 表皮烤得很酥脆，咬起來有嚼勁。 不夠辣的話，還可以加一點主廚附上印度辣醬(由三種不同的辣椒調和而成)。 印度香米炒茴香跟薑黃，感覺份量不是很多，搭雞肉咖哩很不錯吃。 我吃的是單人套餐。 剛好適逢15週年慶，全館8折，一個人大約400塊有找，沒有其他印度餐廳吃到破千元那麼貴。雖然沒有它還沒有米其林一星。 但整體是吃得飽的。 納入口袋名單餐廳，希望台中有天也多出幾家米其林星級餐廳。

घर पर कोई दोस्त नहीं था, इसलिए मैं भोजन की तलाश में निकला और भोजन किया। यह देखने के लिए अधिक भारतीय करी खाएं कि क्या यह प्रतिरक्षा में सुधार कर सकता है। भारतीय मसाले मेरे परिचित स्वाद नहीं हैं। लेकिन इसमें जापानी करी की तुलना में बिल्कुल अलग स्वाद है। भारतीय स्कोन स्वादिष्ट भी हैं। काटे जाने पर क्यूटिकल्स खस्ता और चबाने वाले होते हैं। यदि यह पर्याप्त मसालेदार नहीं है, तो आप भारतीय मसालेदार सॉस (तीन अलग-अलग मिर्च के साथ संयुक्त) के साथ थोड़ा सा महाराज जोड़ सकते हैं। बासमती, सौंफ और हल्दी, यह बहुत पसंद नहीं है, इसलिए चिकन करी बहुत अच्छी है। मेरे पास एक सेट भोजन है। यह 15 वीं वर्षगांठ के साथ मेल खाने के लिए हुआ। पूरा संग्रहालय 20% बंद है। एक व्यक्ति के लिए लगभग 400 युआन हैं। यह अन्य भारतीय रेस्तरां की तरह महंगा नहीं है। हालांकि इसके बिना कोई मिशेलिन स्टार नहीं है। लेकिन पूरा भर गया है। रेस्तरां की पॉकेट लिस्ट में शामिल, मुझे उम्मीद है कि ताइचुंग में कुछ मिशेलिन स्टार रेस्तरां भी होंगे।

ghar par koee dost nahin tha, isalie main bhojan kee talaash mein nikala aur bhojan kiya. yah dekhane ke lie adhik bhaarateey karee khaen ki kya yah pratiraksha mein sudhaar kar sakata hai. bhaarateey masaale mere parichit svaad nahin hain. lekin isamen jaapaanee karee kee tulana mein bilkul alag svaad hai. bhaarateey skon svaadisht bhee hain. kaate jaane par kyootikals khasta aur chabaane vaale hote hain. yadi yah paryaapt masaaledaar nahin hai, to aap bhaarateey masaaledaar sos (teen alag-alag mirch ke saath sanyukt) ke saath thoda sa mahaaraaj jod sakate hain. baasamatee, saumph aur haldee, yah bahut pasand nahin hai, isalie chikan karee bahut achchhee hai. mere paas ek set bhojan hai. yah 15 veen varshagaanth ke saath mel khaane ke lie hua. poora sangrahaalay 20% band hai. ek vyakti ke lie lagabhag 400 yuaan hain. yah any bhaarateey restaraan kee tarah mahanga nahin hai. haalaanki isake bina koee mishelin staar nahin hai. lekin poora bhar gaya hai. restaraan kee poket list mein shaamil, mujhe ummeed hai ki taichung mein kuchh mishelin staar...

This is the only restaurant I will review out of four other Indian restaurants I tried during my one week trip to Taichung City in Jan 2020.

I ordered Tandoori Chicken, 2 Tandoori Naans, Dal Tadka and Mango Lassi hoping the food is authentic and quantity is adequate. The food turned out to very authentic North Indian taste. The Tandoori chicken is one of the best I have had with the right marination, seasoning and spices. The quantity was huge. The Tandoori Naan and Dal Tadka were very delicious. The Mango Lassi complemented the food very well.

Not to mention the very hospitable friendly staff and clean atmosphere. I will continue to visit this restaurant until I leave Taichung City. I will miss both Taichung City and...
